Cyril Gane targets to come back in September
At the UFC Fight Night 156 that took place last weekend, prospective French heavyweight Cyril Gane (4-0) made his triumphant debut in the promotion and he’s not going to slow down. The fighter managed to finish undefeated Brazilian heavyweight Raphael Pessoa by a choke toward the end of the first round, showing everyone he is an all-round fighter. During the fight he also proved he was a good striker with 68% of his shots landing on the opponent.
The fighter plans to return to the Octagon in the nearest future, possibly for the UFC Fight Night 160 that will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark, on September 28. Commenting on his triumphant debut, Gane said he was surprised with the outcome and hoped to get back in two months already.
“I was surprised to finish him like that but I’ve been training my groundwork a lot. I don’t know what’s coming next but I’d like to return to the cage as soon as possible. Copenhagen would be the perfect place for that,” Gane said.
UFC Fight Night 160 will be headlined by the middleweight fight between top Swedish contender Jack Hermansson and American top-10 fighter Jared Cannonier who is #9 in the official UFC middleweight rankings.
