Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to support Jorge Masvidal at UFC 244
UFC 244 will take place at the Madison Square Garden in New York on November 2. Jorge Masvidal (34-13) will lock horns with Nate Diaz (20-11) to win the unofficial title of the “toughest bastard” in the UFC. According to the latest news, if Masvidal wins, it will be Hollywood star and former pro-wrestler Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson who will put the belt on his waist.
“The Rock” showed his interest for the fight almost immediately after its announcement, tweeting that he’s looking forward to watching it. Masvidal replied that he would like Johnson to put the belt on his waist.
“The Rock, I’m telling Dana White i want you to put it around my waist 305 all day,” Masvidal tweeted.
Today, Dwayne Johnson responded:
“Doing all I can to make this fight,” The Rock tweeted. “If I can and you win, I’ll put the belt around your waist at MSG - consider it done. Already shaping up to be one of the biggest and most electrifying fights in UFC history. Can’t wait.
Jorge Masvidal is on a two-win streak by knockouts. He knocked out Darren Till in spring in London and then Ben Askren 5 seconds into the fight with a flying knee, setting a new UFC record. Nate Diaz has recently returned after three-year break. He defeated Anthony Pettis by unanimous decision at the UFC 241.
