Kazakhstani Mariya Agapova shares thoughts on second Invicta FC win
Prospective 22-year-old fighter from Kazakhstan Mariya Agapova (8-1) managed to win her second fight under the Invicta FC banner and was happy to share thoughts on her triumphant performance.
The athlete managed to confidently defeat Brazilian flyweight opponent Marilia Santos and she couldn’t hide her excitement in her post-fight interview.
“When I start to the ring, I’m very worried but I try to focus on my fight, focus on the girl, focus on this fight. I start having enjoying of my fight because I love my job and I focus on the game. And this happens. I’m shocked, I can’t believe. It’s very strong girl, it’s very strong girl, I can’t believe in this.”
“After the first hit, I’m big in adrenaline, adrenaline in my blood, and I can feel nothing, I just feel touch, punch, but I don’t feel pain because a lot of adrenaline in cage. It’s control because I do this on training, every time I do this on training I’m not scared, not worried, I just do my job,” Agapova said.
Agapova vs. Santos fight was part of the Invicta FC 37 card. Mariya won by TKO by the end of the second round.
Agapova’s only loss happened in July at the Dana White's Contender Series from American Tracy Cortez.
