Khabib Nurmagomedov comes out of Dustin Poirier fight with no injuries: just seven days of mandatory rest for the “Eagle”
Last Saturday UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov (28-0) defended his title for the second time, winning over Dustin Poirier (25-6, 1 NC) in the main event of the UFC 242.
The bout that was expected to be a competitive confrontation turned out a one-sided dominance from Khabib in his traditional manner. Khabib made Poirier submit in the third round.
Despite several strikes exchanged, Khabib managed to come through the fight unscathed and the list of medical suspensions proves that. Nurmagomedov received only 7 days of mandatory rest which is the least mandatory suspension given to any fighter.
However, not every UFC 242 participant was as lucky. The Scotch Joanne Calderwood secured one of the biggest wins in her career by defeating Andrea Lee with unanimous decision but it cost a broken nose for her. Calderwood will be able to return to the cage no sooner than in six months. Below you will find the full list of medical suspensions for the UFC 242 fighters.
