Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, father and coach of Russian UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov (28-0), commented on the situation around his son’s next fight with Tony Ferguson (25-3).

Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov wants the fight to take place in Moscow.

“Khabib is in a good shape, training for the fight. We’re waiting to hear the location. We’d like to fight in Moscow, let’s wait for two more days and the city will be announced. Of course, there will be no fans, 100%. By the law, there shouldn’t be more than 50 people in the room,” Abdulmanap said.

The likeliest option so far is Florida, USA. Initially, Khabib vs. Tony fight was supposed to take place in Brooklyn, New York, on April 18 but due to coronavirus pandemic the promotion had to look for other locations.
