Rico Verhoeven will rematch Badr Hari in December
One of the best P4P kickboxers in the world Ricardo Verhoeven (55-10) will return to the ring on December 21 to have a rematch with one of his previous opponents.
According to many resources including AD, the GLORY Kickboxing heavyweight champion Rico Verhoeven will face Moroccan star Badr Hari (106-13, 1 NC) for the second time three years after the first fight. The boxers will headline the event in Arnhem, Netherlands.
Verhoeven vs. Hari I took place at the GLORY 36 in December 2016. Back then, Verhoeven won by a second-round TKO but the fight left many questions as Hari couldn’t continue due to injured hand. The rematch with Hari will be Verhoeven’s ninth defense. While reigning the GLORY heavyweight division, he defeated such eminent fighters as Daniel Ghita, Anderson Silva, Errol Zimmerman, and Benjamin Adegbuyi.
After his loss to Verhoeven, Badr Hari had only one fight – against Egyptian Hesdy Gerges. Hardi won by unanimous decision but later the fight was declared no contest as both fighters tested positive. Considering the fact, Hari vs. Verhoeven rematch will certainly cause criticism for GLORY matchmaking; on the other hand, kickboxing fans will still glue to the screens to see them sorting things out.
