UFC releases 12 fighters including Curtis Millender
2019 is coming to an end and the UFC clean up their roster. New fighters get signed up, so it means someone has to go.
Today the UFC officially announced the list of fighters released in the last few weeks. They have already received their walking papers and are looking for a new job:
Danilo Belluardo (12-5 ММА, 0-2 UFC), lightweight: He lost his debut fight to Joel Alvarez via TKO in the second round. Then he faced Olympic wrestler Mark Madsen who finished him 72 seconds into the fight.
Manny Bermudez (14-2 ММА, 3-2 UFC), featherweight: Bermudez was considered one of the most promising prospects. After 3-0 record he lost two fights in a row and missed his weight twice.
Henry Briones (16-8-1 ММА, 1-4 UFC), bantamweight: Briones had five fights in the UFC and was known for his entertaining style. However, no matter hos entertaining you are, you will be released if you lose four fights. He lost to Cody Garbrandt, Douglas Silva de Andrade, Rani Yahya, and Frankie Saenz.
Thomas Gifford (17-9 ММА, 0-2 UFC), lightweight: He lost to Roosevelt Roberts and then was brutally knocked out by Mike Davis.
Nohelin Hernandez (9-4 ММА, 0-2 UFC), bantamweight: Former LFA fighter made his UFC debut at the UFC 239 where he lost to Marlon Vera. In his second fight he faced prospect Jack Shore and lost by submission.
Yoshinori Horie (8-2 ММА, 0-1 UFC), featherweight: Japanese Yoshinori Horie had only one chance in the UFC and he lost it. At the UFC 240 he was brutally knocked out by Canadian Hakeem Dawodu.
Derrick Krantz (24-12 ММА, 0-2 UFC), welterweight: Krantz had 34 fights to end up in the UFC but in the Octagon he lost to Brazilian Vicente Luque on a short notice and then was defeated by Song Kenan in a close fight.
Curtis Millender (17-5 ММА, 3-2 UFC), welterweight: Millender started a good UFC career when he knocked out Thiago Alves and then defeated Max Griffin and Siyar Bahadurzada. However, the prospect was released after losing to Elizeu Zaleksi dos Santos and Belal Muhammad.
Azamat Murzakanov (7-0 ММА, 0-0 UFC), heavyweight: Murzakanov’s career in the UFC ended even before it started. He was supposed to make his debut against Joachim Christensen in 2017 but he tested positive and was suspended for two years.
Andre Soukhamthath (13-8 ММА, 2-5 UFC), bantamweight: He is most known for his fight against Sean O'Malley when he couldn’t finish his opponent who was fighting literally on one leg. As a result, Soukhamthath lost by unanimous decision. He also lost his last two fights to Montel Jackson and Su Mudaerji.
