Alexey Makhno: "Home crowd is a key factor for Till and I think he will please his fans with a victory"

On the eve of the ‘UFC London‘ tournament, which will take place tomorrow, the Harcord editorial team managed to talk with one of the most spectacular Russian fighters, Alexey Makhno, who in recent years has performed primarily in the ‘M-1 Global’ promotion and is known for the bright and relentless battles.

Alexey is not a big fan of watching fights on TV and watches either performances of his friends, or big and significant events. The fight between Darren Till and Jorge Masvidal is not one of those fights, but the Russian fighter is familiar with the fights of both athletes and believes that Till’s skills and home walls will help him to win this confrontation.

“To be honest, no matter how strange it may sound, but I am not a big fan of watching fights. As a rule, I watch fights of my teammates, friends, comrades, or some big and loud fights. Unfortunately, Till and Masvidal are not my “heroes”. Of course, I know these guys and if I pick someone, I would choose Till. He is a good striking expert and I like his fighting style. Plus, the fight will take place in England, he will represent his country. I think that the home crowd is going to be a key factor for Till and I think he will please his fans with a victory. It is important. I had the experience to perform in Moscow and Tula, where I grew up. A lot of pressure in this case. The victory at home is very expensive, so I think Till is going to be victorious”, - Makhno said.

Recall that the fight between Darren Till and Jorge Masvidal will lead the UFC Fight Night 147 tournament, which will be held on March 16 at the O2 arena in London. For Till, this fight will be the first since the crushing defeat in the title fight against Tyron Woodley.

As for Alexey, last year he had three fights, winning two of them. Currently, the fighter is in the works of holding the next fight and hopes to get back in action in the near future.
