Conor McGregor is the most profitable fighter in MMA even now, says Conor's coach Owen Roddy
Former UFC champion in two divisions Conor McGregor, despite being defeated by Khabib Nurmagomedov, still brings more money to the company than anyone else. So says Conor’s long-time striking technique coach and close mate Owen Roddy.
“I think that Conor is the most profitable fighter in MMA even now,” - Owen said in one of his recent interviews. “If he had really devoted himself completely to training before the fight with Khabib, he probably could have done the work in a championship way,”
According to Owen Roddy, he is super-excited about the opportunity of his ‘gold-fish’ to fight against entertaining fight in the person of UFC vet Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone.
“There are a lot of talks about the fight with “Cowboy”. This is an intriguing match. This fight will definitely be a fan’s favorite. There will be an interesting promotion of the fight, and the fight itself. Fantastic finish by technical knockout.”
Recall that at the moment Conor McGregor serves 6-month suspension by Nevada State Athletic Commission for his main role in the post-fight melee that occurred between team McGregor and team Khabib after the grandiose fight at UFC 229 on October 6th, 2018.
