Former M-1 Global title challenger gave his prediction for the bout between Darren Till vs. Jorge Masvidal
Despite the fact that the upcoming UFC tournament in London will not be PPV one, the main event of this evening attracts the interest of not only fans but also professional MMA fighters around the world.
Ukrainian featherweight Andrey Lezhnev, who in recent years has performs under the auspices of the promotional company M-1 Global, is no exception. At the moment, the fighter heals injuries suffered in the title fight. The athlete found time to talk with the editorial team of the Harcord project, commenting on the upcoming main event in the London tournament, as part of which top welterweights Darren Till meets Jorge Masvidal.
Lezhnev refrained from a specific prediction, saying that the result will depend on the physical training of Masvidal and the psychological preparation of his opponent, who will have to return after the first defeat in his career.
“Till is a very big welterweight, with good striking technique and heavy hands. Everything will depend on how Masvidal can cope with his power and in what psychological condition Till will come out to this fight after the first defeat in his career,” - said Lezhnev.
Lezhnev held his last fight as part of the ‘M-1 Challenge: Battle in Atyrau’ tournament, which took place in December last year. The fighter had the opportunity to capture the championship title of the organization but lost by technical knockout to the American Nate Landwehr in the third round. Prior to this, the athlete led an impressive series of three victories in a row, two of which were inside-the-distance.
