Mamed Khalidov arrested in Poland for alleged illegal import of luxury cars
Former Polish fighter of Chechen ethnicity Mamed Khalidov, known for his performance in KSW promotion and former title of KSW Middleweight Champion, had to face an opponent of another nature – the law.
According to a series of Polish sources, Khalidov was arrested for an alleged illegal import of luxury cars into the country. According to the prosecutor, Porsche Panamera, Range Rover Evoque, BMW M6 или BMW 7 Series cars were bought in Czech Republic and illegally imported into Poland.
“The detainee will hear the accusations upon arrival to the prosecutor’s office. After that the prosecutor will take preventative measures,” the media office states.
Khalidov moved to Poland from the Chechen Republic in 1997 when he was 16. The fighter defended his KSW middleweight title more than once but was defeated last year by local opponent Tomasz Narkun and decided to retire.
