Petr Yan will be featured in EA Sports UFC 3 videogame
The main breakthrough of this year among the Russian UFC fighters Petr Yan (13-1) keeps making progress. During his recent visit to Chicago where Yan performed at the UFC 238 against Jimmie Rivera, the UFC included him in the list of characters for EA Sports UFC 3 videogame.
The Russian fighter of the UFC bantamweight division will be added to the game in the next update.
“When I was in Chicago, the UFC photograph made a few shots for the next update of the game. I’ll go through the second – technical – stage of the game development during my next visit to the USA. They’re gonna put sensors on my body to read my techniques, my movements, and other characteristics,” Yan told in his interview to the Russian “Komsomolskaya Pravda”.
Motion capture technology is used for making the game when real people motions are captured in full details by specific sensors and are then recreated within the game engine.
It took Petr Yan one year to become one of the fastest-growing UFC stars. He had 5 fights in less than 12 months and won them all, including bouts against such serious opponents as John Dodson and Jimmie Rivera. Now Yan is ranked #4 in the official UFC bantamweight rankings and can have a title shot in the nearest future.
