Khabib Nurmagomedov had his previous fight in October last year at the UFC 229 tournament and it was the biggest fight in his career in all senses. Dagestan’s undefeated fighter held the first defense of the UFC lightweight championship title, and his rival was the notorious Irishman Conor McGregor.
The fight was surrounded by a huge sensation and it literally divided all the fans into two camps. The winners were those who were rooting for Khabib Nurmagomedov, because he dominated throughout the battle, knocked down McGregor, and choked him out in the fourth round.
Nate Diaz last entered the cage in 2016 at UFC 202, where he had a rematch with Conor McGregor, losing him via a split decision. In the previous fight, he made an upset, choking out Conor in the second round and becoming the first man to defeat the notorious Irishman in the UFC.
