Eryk Anders gave his prediction for a Holloway vs. Poirier fight: "It's gonna be an exciting scrap of top lightweights, and Poirier is about to win"
A few hours left before the start of April’s huge PPV event of UFC 236, in the main event of which current featherweight champion Max Holloway makes his lightweight debut and faces number 3 ranked Dustin Poirier for the interim lightweight championship belt. Besides the main event, there is a bunch of fights with several interesting athletes, and with one of them, the editors of our portal contacted on the eve of the event.
We are talking about American middleweight Eryk Anders who made his debut in the organization in 2017 and declared himself loud, having won two stunning victories. The fighter tried to build on his success, but last year was unfortunate for him and now he has to rectify out his position by fighting against heavy-hitter Khalil Rountree tonight.
The editors of the Harcord project asked the fighter to share thoughts about the main event of the tournament, and Anders graciously commented on the Poirier-Holloway fight, calling his favorite.
“We are waiting for an exciting scrap of top lightweights. I think it will be a great match and Poirier is about to win. Max is a great fighter, but I think Dustin is more complete and he has more ways he can finish this fight,” - said Anders.
Recall that the UFC 236 tournament will start tonight and will take place at Philips Arena in Atlanta (Georgia, USA). In the co-main event, top striker Israel Adesanya faces Kelvin Gastelum to determine an interim middleweight champion.
