KUBRAT PULEV WILL TAKE SEXUAL HARASSMENT PREVENTION CLASSES AND PAY FINE FOR KISSING FEMALE REPORTER
Bulgarian boxer Kubrat Pulev (27-1, 14 KO) who is considered a true legend in his home country and has a rather successful professional career, encountered problems of non-sporting character. After the fight with Romanian boxer Bogdan Dinu this March the Bulgarian boxer was so emotional that he kissed female broadcaster Jennifer Ravalo on the lips. Ravalo accused him of harassment and stated that he had not only kissed her but also grabbed her buttocks.
Pulev himself denies all charges and he even gave photos from the after-match party where Ravalo was present. On those photos the reporter didn’t look embarrassed or humiliated but it didn’t prevent her from bringing official accusations.
Now the boxer will have to attend sexual harassment prevention classes. Sky Sports reports that after he takes the classes and pays a US$2500 fine, he will be able to fight again in California.
It’s worth noting that if the boxer does anything similar again, he may get the life-time suspension. The initial suspension term on the case ends in July.
